Febelauto
From end-of-life vehicle to a circular future
At the Febelauto stand, visitors get a clear view of what happens when a vehicle is taken out of service. Febelauto coordinates the collection, processing and sustainable recycling of end of life vehicles and batteries from electric and hybrid cars.
A key highlight is the restored and electrified Ford Taunus, created by Automotive Technology students from Thomas More. The project shows how craftsmanship and circular reuse come together.
In addition, a gigantic cutaway EV battery will be on display. Visitors can see how the battery is constructed, why safe dismantling is essential and what happens to reusable modules and recovered raw materials after recycling.
On Monday 30 March around midday, a retrofit event will take place, linked to Mobility Talks at 12:30 pm. On 31 March at 12:30 pm, an information session on EV batteries is scheduled.
