Snap-on Diagnostics introduces Schutz Fahrzeug Diagnose (SFD) access to Volkswagen Audi Group passenger cars and vans via all its diagnostic platforms with Wi-Fi connectivity.
Snap-on customers with a Wi-Fi enabled diagnostic tool, powered by the latest software and having completed the registration process will be able to access the secured Volkswagen Group systems and perform diagnostic and repair procedures.
The addition of SFD access for Volkswagen Audi Group vehicles closely follows the previously introduced Secure Gateway to secured control units from Fiat, Alfa, Lancia and Nissan. Owners of Snap-on diagnostic equipment have instant Secure Gateway access to protected Fiat, Alfa and Lancia control units. This means that technicians do not have to wait (sometimes weeks) for Secure Gateway access from Fiat, but can get to work via Snap-on immediately after completing the registration routine.
