Out of Use: circular approach to batteries and electronics

Out of Use outlines its circular approach to EV batteries and automotive electronics.

 

New lithium-ion battery modules are temporarily stored in licensed, fire-safe units equipped with sprinklers, cooling systems, and infrared monitoring, with a total capacity of up to 305 tons.

 

For damaged and end-of-life batteries, Out of Use provides a fully integrated service, from ADR-compliant collection and safe discharging to dismantling for proper processing. Pyrotechnic components such as airbags and seatbelt pretensioners are also safely collected and certified for destruction, with clear and transparent reporting.

 

The approach also covers the recycling of end-of-life mobility electronics, including cables, lighting, displays, and ECUs. Visitors can take a virtual tour and learn more about the collection boxes and the complete processing workflow.
